Hello, my name's Geoff and I've recently been to Disneyworld in Florida! It was an amazing trip and I spent a lot of my time in Downtown Disney. The place to go for the evening!
I just want to share with you the Downtown Disney Restaurants I highly recommend to make the evenings the best they can be. I tried a lot of them while I was there, I hope you can try some too.
If you go to Disneyworld, Florida, the older tourist
will want to head on down to Downtown Disney. But
what is it? It’s the nightlife of Disney! It’s home
to pubs, clubs and lots of fine dining to be had.
There are also a variety of shops including
exclusive merchandise you cant get in the main
parks.
I
will be discussing the restaurants however in this
article. I’m speaking from experience because I
spent 2 weeks at Disneyworld and went to Downtown
Disney nearly every night while being there. I’m
sure I should’ve ventured out more, but it’s such a
nice place to be I didn’t feel the need to leave!
For fine dining there are a couple of options for
you to choose from. People who are fans of fresh
fish, there really is only one choice! Fulton’s Crab
House is definitely the place to go. It really is a
lovely place to be in, it’s a replica riverboat
which is docked in the water. You can spend up to
and around $60 per person if you’re looking to
splash a bit of extra cash out. On top of that, I
would choose a nice bottle of wine from their 2000
bottle wine cellar. Definitely one of my favorite
places to go for a bit more of a special occasion.
I’m going to now talk about what is my favourite
all-around restaurant, it’s prices are fair and
reasonable, plus the service is very good. The food
is American, so people overseas from the U.K will
not be far from home, except for maybe having larger
portions! Funny story behind this actually, I was
there with a mate and we were both having the same
dish. So when the waitress came around to take out
order I said “Two pasta carbonara’s please” so she
turned around and then asked what my mate wanted. I
thought it was quite funny as it must be normal for
someone to order 2 dishes for themselves!
For a more relaxed evening of dining you could try
one of the pubs, my choice would be the “Raglan Road
Irish Pub and Restaurant”. They serve traditional
pub food that you find in England such as Bangers
and Mash, Fish and Chips plus much more! In this pub
there is some different entertainment as many people
like to dance the night away to some Irish music.
This place really does have a great feel to it, I
only spent one evening here, but if I had more time
and went back I would definitely give it another
visit.
It’s worth pointing out that in all Downtown Disney
Restaurants you need to be 21 years of age to drink
alcoholic beverages. Also do make sure to take some
form of I.D with you as anyone who looks under the
age of 30 will require it. It’s amazing though you
don’t get any problems from youngsters drinking like
you would in other parts of the world. The
strictness of the rules really does pay off.
I hope you’ve found my tips helpful and I really
hope you go to some Downtown Disney Restaurants
while you’re there. Let me know what you think of
them!
